Planning Success
Reading Agricultural Consultants Ltd (RAC) has recently been successful in gaining planning approval for a new 200-cow dairy unit on a greenfield site near Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire.
Planning application sought permission to erect a cattle accommodation building, new dairy building, young-stock facilities, silage clamps and slurry storage facilities on an exposed ridge with distant views into the site. In order to overcome potential planning objections on landscape grounds, RAC worked with the client on the design and layout of the development to ensure its smooth passage through the planning process.
Although the application raised concerns from Natural Resources Wales, the County Archaeologist, Ecological Officer and Highways Officer, ongoing discussions between RAC and the Statutory Consultees ensured that these issues were resolved before the application was determined.
